This is the future of golf? Group of wankers partying at the thought of all the cash, just one big joke. Perez has not even contributed a score to his team yet but has made millions and sits there bantering at the winners press conference………he should be embarrassed to be there. Clearly the press are being told to only ask positive questions…..where is his going? It’s like some college frat party with loads of embarrassing twats you normally try to avoid. God help this game as there is no stopping this destructive train.
I couldn’t agree more Dave , Liv is ruining the sport the players do not care about winning or losing. They’re getting a big payday anyway, let’s face it What do these liv tournaments mean to anybody? Nothing All players care about is the money It’s nice to have money but this is just a joke how they get millions for literally nothing. How money can completely ruin a sport. I will not watch liv. It is taking the trueness out of golf. All it is about is money and partying that is not golf. I will watch the PGA/dp tour and European tour all the way to the end

Frank I couldn’t agree more. I’m not surprised at all that it took an Australian and in this case Greg Norman with his convict ancestry to lead some people into spiritual ruin. All these players are receptive and there is a reason for that – they can’t win on the pga and their moral compass are compromised.
Here is what I hope will happen next? As Davis Love pointed out -“Here’s the biggest lever; and it’s not a nice lever. But if a group of veterans and a group of top current players align with 150 guys on the Tour, and they say, ‘Guess what? We’re not playing the majors if LIV players play. We’re not playing period!! If LIV sue in court, and they win, well, we’re not playing.” You know, there won’t be a U.S. Open or Masters and it’s just like a baseball strike. I’m afraid that’s the reality if LIV players won’t limit themselves to LIV golf exclusively. I can’t wait to see the LIV golfers faces when exhibition golf is the only game in town (for them)

@Laurel So he was stripped due to tour affiliation and not merit. If Ryder Cup wants to debase itself by not selecting the best talent so be it.

Wills The short answer to your attack is some pro golfers have actually turned down a lot of money for the sake of better competition and legacy and some haven’t and joined LIV for the sake of their family, more free time and a bigger fortune. I have no beef with either of them but what I have a problem with is when they are disingenuous and fail to accept that either way it has consequences. They can’t have it both ways because of the obvious conflict of interest!!! The European Tour group and DP World have a long-term partnership emerging as the DP world Tour. The European Tour group is the managing partner of Ryder cup Europe the body which alongside the pga of America administers Ryder cup. So how in god’s name could they possibly allow him stay as captain when he is playing in a rival golf league?!?

Why is Matthew Puppy listed at 6’0 but he’s a good 6 inches shorter than Henrik. ??
The PGA commissioner went about this all wrong. It never should have been an “either or” type situation. He should have met with Norman and said hey how can we get some of this money. Then sit down put together a plan where it would have benefited both the PGA Tour and Liv Golf and most of all the Players.
