People sleep on Cobra way too much. Got my Radspeed driver last year and it was the best I tried out of the lot. Absolutely love it. Looks great, feels great, sounds great. Don’t discount them!
I slept on them for the longest time and finally tried the RadSpeed and I have never looked back.
I still game my Cobra BioCell driver and it slaps. Also a big fan of the baffler rails on their woods. Not sure why they seem to be moving away from that design on the newer ones though.
@Mick H I think people just sometimes don’t even think about Cobra and go straight to Taylormade or Ping without considering them. Best priced, some of the best looking (barring last year) and perform as well or better than their rivals. Ticks all the boxes for me!
I still can’t find a better driver for me than the radspeed. I hit the Paradym last week and lost 20yds vs the radspeed. I have had a taste if the Aerojet but will hit it again before ordering one.
You meant to say “every casual sleeps on Cobra” 😊
I still use the speedzone in black , love the driver best av ever used , the distance is brilliant 👏 👌
I love Rick’s idea with having three weights. I like what Mizuno is doing with their adjustable weights and I think the STG would be a fantastic review
The aero jet is supposed to be fast through the air and aerodynamic. More weights and screws create drag and weight therefore compromising the whole idea.
I agree Rick 100% with the three weights and also should have called it the F16 Aerojet
Would love to get a new driver, I have a used Taylormade Burner, but the price always keeps me away….. I guess I’ll wait a few years and see how they last and perform
I’ve been playing the F9 irons since they came out and I love them. Once this driver came out, I bought last year’s LTDx Max (not a fast swinger of the club) with the price drop. Can only seeing it indoors at a simulator, I’m in Michigan, USA. So far, indoors, I’m excited for it!
Absolutely love your take at the end of the one area they missed. Your version would be a fitters dream and would allow everyone to get something that works for them. Maybe they toss in a couple extra weights, or even sell a separate weight kit for it.
Yeah, but people won’t then have to buy a new driver 💰💰
Rick, you’re forgetting that they want to sell a new driver when you evolve as a golfer. They want you to have to come back and buy another one, not just adjust the one they have. All that said, I agree with you.
I agree on the 3 weight system, the Cobra King Tec hybrid has the 3 weight system and is a massive game changer. Liked it a lot but didn’t fit my game very well but is a great hybrid for those who don’t like to use fairway woods.
Coming soon 👀😉
The one and only is back. 100% Trusted can’t wait Rick
Thought this is what the review channel was for…
Please review the new Cobra CB/MB irons 🙂
@Rick Shiels Golf just subscribed 💯
Can you Review the new Wilson driver next?🤔
When it comes to product review, I feel that Rick is like the Marques Brownlee of the golf world. I love the pure honesty in his reviews! Thanks Rick !
Always bringing us the best reviews. I’ve been watching your cobra driver reviews since I bought my Fly-z driver a few moons ago! Would love to see a small head to head video of the Aerojet Vs your F9 🔥
I absolutely love cobra stuff and if this had the 3 weight system like rick said about I would be getting fitted for 1.
I’ve steered away from cobra because they are so flashy this year the looks are very nice. I agree it could have been a strong compilation with TM and Callaway if not for the price
I think it’s a good idea in theory, however to add another weight port would be adding overall weight to the club since materials other than carbon would be getting put in place. Might see an inverse relationship between CHS and BS, but this is coming from a club junkie and not an engineer 🤣 great review as always Rick
Very well constructed argument for the three weight system. I’d love to see you call up one of Cobra’s club engineers and see if it’s possible to either do a video in their truck talking about the pros and cons of that idea along with learning some basic things about club design in general from an expert. Or do the same on the podcast…
Rick has a great idea of the 3 weights! Cobra should try that. They use it in their king tec hybrid which is fantastic! They should do it in a driver. I even said that when I got my tec hybrid last year, man they need a driver with this configuration.
I think you’re spot on. Being a relatively new golfer, all these options are a little overwhelming. A single driver, with customizations would make the buying and fitting process much smoother
I would imagine adding the extra 12g weight would introduce some weighting issues but I’m sure there could be a workaround. Possibly 1x3g then 2x8g weights or something. Then you’re only adding 4g to the total head weight. Great take though! Will be testing these and the G430 LST for sure
