Lol.
LMAO Agreed!
Sounds about right 😂😂
Have you considered starting a 20 second club review channel? That’s the information we all want.
Can’t wait for these to be around the £200 mark. Look forward to buying one in 4-5 years
loved the comment (so me) as i just bought the Tsi2 for 200€ this spring and loving it…hoping for this to get in my bag 2-3 years from now 😀
Love it 🙂
These clubs are priced at 1199.99 in Canada…holy 🥲
899 CAD with a stock shaft, still too much
900 + taxe. It’s getting ridiculous. Especially when we saw Rick try old Sim2 drivers that outperformed his current driver.
@@tdam01 yeah I was looking at golftown. Brutal
Ridiculous. I picked up a brand new Sim2 for $300 CAD earlier this season and it’s doing fine for me lol
Poor that rick never tested the tsr range. Would’ve been really useful for a comparison since they were arguably the best drivers around.
@@jwilliamb89 says who
“Titleist stock has slipped a little in the driver” which is a shame, because last year they had the most PGA Tour wins. The TSR series was fantastic,
That’s completely irrelevant
Just an FYI for those fellow TSR users. I went to see my fitter for a check up and wanted to put one of these in the bag. I still hit my TSR3 further and straighter than any of these models. So maybe waiting another cycle as they refine GT isn’t a bad idea. Wont be the same for everyone 100% but just 2 cents.
Just curious..what’s your club head and ball speeds? I’m in a TSR2 currently and like it but keep wanting to look at changing.
The GT3 is a pile of junk IMO. The GT2 is great but going from tsr3-gt3 isn’t worth it from what I’ve seen.
I agree. I hit my TSR2 way too good to justify a $600 upgrade on practically the same style head with just a GT logo lol
I agree. My TSR3 was still the same numbers. I prefer the more solid feel of the TSR but very similar
@SaniOsrs I see you on Twitter for RS, glad to see you enjoy golf as well!
From my TSR to the Gt3, I thought was a big difference for me. The Miss-hits still go far for me. Spin also seemed more stable on different face location hits.
The sound is very different IMO and I do prefer the feel off the face of the TSR, but only had one round on GT3, and can’t wait for more.
My last 5 driver heads have been Titleist, point is I am a huge fan of the brand. I buy a new driver head every 3 -4 years. The honest truth is, I saw minimal performance gains going from TSi3 to TSR3 and just hit the new GT driver. On 20 hits each (TSR3 vs. GT3) on the sim, I hit the TSR3 straighter and further and the spin was a touch lower on GT. In fact, I hit the Stealth2 and Qi10 further than both Titlist models. Same shaft. I just can’t bring myself to buy composite driver as all my friends have cracked the faces in their drivers. TM makes better drivers for distance, period and with their fantastic return policy I may be making the switch. I personally like the classic look and sound of the Titleist but the truth is, this series is not a step up in performance IMO and will wait for next model if not move to another brand.
Soo excited!!! I’ve already scheduled the kidney extraction surgery to pay for the driver with updated shaft!! 5-8 weeks I’ll be healthy enough to swing it – love titleist ❤
Good luck in recovery. 😂😂😂
A very nice simple looking driver. I would find it very tough to get rid of my Cobra Aerojet LS for years as it performs so well for me. Firm believer in don’t change what’s not broken
I am Titleist through and through …
But I have an Aerojet LS driver with a Kai Li X shaft (and I am an S shaft player – picked it up ex-Demo from American Golf for £200) …
This driver is an absolute MONSTER … whilst being really consistent re: misses.
I couldn’t recommend it more … same with the FW.
@@gordongourlay4449 yeah I have T150 irons and SM10 wedges. I have the Aerojet driver as mentioned and it’s a bomber with decent forgiveness, 7 wood is a beauty too. I have the stealth 2 plus 3W with sliding big weight. Great with weight back for fairways, or with the weight right forward it’s a bomber
@@thebikepackingadventurer I got the T150s with LA Golf shafts – a real game changer and the best irons I have ever bought. However, I recently swapped out the SM9s for Cleveland ZipCores c/w Accra iWedge shafts – just a little bit softer off the face, so more feel inside of 50 yds.
@@thebikepackingadventurer will need to take a look at that 7w … as the Aerojet 3 hybrid comes down pretty low/hot.
@@gordongourlay4449 it pops up lovely. Great for long par 3’s or getting out of juicy rough. Game changer for me. I don’t even carry a 4 iron now
If they were going for the “fast car GT” thing, they got it backwards. The GT4 should be the more forgiving driver and the GT2 would be for the pros with high swing speeds.
@@bassmasta9117 and you work at what marketing company
Fitting is key. I got 17 more yards through optimising my GT2 during the fitting over my TSR2. Different loft, different setting on the Surefit (that I’d never have picked), different weight on the back and different shaft. Feels better than the TSR2, more consistent flight window and spin. Even using the same shaft from my TSR2, the GT2 was longer and more consistent. But the optimisation was the key to get the most out of it for me.
Haha who fit you for the tsr
Excellent review Rick — thank you for your honesty. I’ve played Titleist for 55 years and I can’t wait to “test fly” the GTs.
I absolutely love my TSR2 paired with a Ventus blue 44.5in. I just don’t see enough changes to justify the $600 upgrade for practically the same style head 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ forever a Titleist guy though. Good review Ricky !!
As an experiment, put a GT2 in the bag for your next Break 75. 280 down the middle or 300 in the trees, you know it makes sense 👍
Rick has gone by the 110 mph/160 mph/280 carry baseline for like 5+ years. The fact that no new drivers have changed those figures should speak volumes. As such, dispersion/forgiveness should be the only metric to judge them by.
I have a Stealth Plus currently. Tried to beat it earlier this year and while I pured QI10 and Ping G430 drivers, they were actually 15-20 yards shorter. Last week I try GT2 and GT3 with same shafts, somehow swung both faster and gained 10-15 yards and narrow dispersion. Not much between them and hit both really well, but suffice to say I’ve just ordered a GT2
Rick just ordered my GT2 and it should be here by 8/23. So excited!!!!!! Thanks for the video.
Looks like a Kirkland signature driver
Hope to take delivery of my GT3 on Friday. Had a good fitting session with the 3 different heads and the GT3 with tensei black 1k X stood out for me. I never tried the tsr so I can’t compare. Fell in love the sound and feel straight away
