The Driver To Beat In 2023..but there's a HUGE problem | Callaway Paradym Driver | Full Review
Great review, much more thorough than the others
I appreciate that!
Would have liked to see the results of the X compared to the other 2 with your normal swing and not just emulating a slice. I get the reasoning though, class review Pete and great start to the year!
He kinda did though, that’s where he was constantly missing that tight fairway to the left, showing its draw bias. Even though he did not show the raw data, but this video and Rick’s video that he just posted and you can get the full picture.
Congratulations ๐

Good review. As you say, minimal improvement for a very very high price. Really new drivers should only be coming out every couple of years. Even then the improvements are small. Not worth it. And neither will the other brand releases be either.
The yearly driver releases are great for the purpose of pushing tech advancement slightly further each year. The problem comes from people who feel the need to buy the latest and greatest every year. For someone who hasn’t bought a new driver since the great big bertha days or older, the paradym will still be a great option for that person if they are willing to drop some extra money for a club they plan on keeping in the bag for 5+ years
@James Zaimes wait a year and you will be able to buy this second hand for ยฃ120 ๐ค
@jeffreyroberts7438ย I work in the second-hand market. They don’t drop off that dramatically, but I understand your point. The biggest issue with the second-hand market is that you aren’t getting fit for the club unless you’re lucky enough to get fit and then find a used club at the same specs with the same shaft.
@James Zaimes It seemed like the more recent Epic line dropped off like that… I saw plenty of those in my area around the $150-175 mark, but the general consensus on those seemed to be that they were mediocre. You’ve got more insight than me though, I’m just an OfferUp/FB Marketplace deal hunter.
@hurfdurfy8167ย that was due to Callaway running a crazy trade-in deal offering people 50% to their trade-in of their old clubs if they ordered new rogue st clubs. This flooded the market with epics because Callaway/Global Golf was just trying to get back what they paid essentially. If they run the same promo this year, it could happen with the rogues but it depends how successful it went for them and how much used product they are still sitting on because of it
Will be going for the rogue ST with this out now, at hopefully a reduced price!
Rogue is a great driver
Yeah, I’m going to dip in my pocket and buy last year’s. Or maybe even the Epic.

And I just picked up my new Rogue LS driver today! With a Ventus TR Blue shaft and I think that makes a HUGE difference in experience. That shaft is extreme stable. The combination of head and shaft is hard to mishit.
Iโve been moving my penley shaft from driver to driver when I upgrade. A stable and boring shaft makes all the difference
@Adam Vlassis My wife agrees
@ZiPolishHammer hahahahahah strong work
Great review Pete! IMHO you are by far the best all out creator (not just of golf content) on YouTube. Your passion and comedy are what put you on top. Also I am a really big fan of these new drivers. Not crazy about the name or the giant script they used to plaster it on the sole of the club. But otherwise they look fantastic imo. I really love the color way. Thanks Pete and happy new year.
Wow, thanks!
Loving the consistent shaft across all the drivers, will make it very interesting across the brands!

Interesting review. I’ve used the Cobra F9 driver now for a few years and still rate it very high, have yet to see a driver that I would spend a lot of money on to replace it – and it also hits very straight ๐
Yeah still a great driver
I use the Ping G425 Max. Thereโs zero chance that Iโm ponying up for a driver โupgradeโ this year. Itโs too good of a driver & the differences in performance will be negligible at best, if at all.
The new ping driver vid is coming out next week, stay tuned
This guy’s putting out consistently superior content. What’s he gotta do to get a Million Subs?
These gear reviews actually have some substance and attention to detail. Good stuff Peter Finch ๐
I agree ๐
Stop talking with his hands
Agree – actually think you have really good balance of content, plenty of golf, some reviews, some challenges etc
He may soon surpass Rick for the title of most fake spam accounts in their likeness
Definitely should be over the Million subs. Maybe get Carly Booth back on again!.
Great review Pete. For me, 599 is crazy money and no matter how good the club is, I’m never going to spend that much on one club. I am thinking of changing my driver this year but I would be happy to buy an older model (maybe the Rogue ST) for less money.
Get the rogue st it’s 280 300 notes it’s no going to be worse is it๐
I bought the rogue ST MAX on sale this summer and my miss dispersion has drastically changed. For the first time in my life I drove the green on a 280 yard par 4 in the winter in the Netherlands. I highly recommend this driver, it absolutely gave me more confidence off the tee!
I just bought a brand new 2021 epic max for $180. I canโt see spending this type of money unless I played 4-7 times a week. I play 2-3 times a week and I still could never buy a $600 driver. I just bought irons that were $1300 and I waited years to pull the trigger on those.
I agree. Even if the economy wasnโt in the crapper, I am never spending that kind of money for a driver!! Too many other necessities need my hard earned income!! I have to think that golf manufacturers are going to find out that people just canโt pull the trigger on these luxuries for an extra 8 yards or so!!! Great work Pete
Cobra ltd x is worth a look too
Great video. Canโt wait for the rest of tech month.
The price point of these drivers is, in my opinion, the worst part about golf. Forget the money in LIV golf that there was such an outcry about, itโs about time the big companies started making golf more affordable. Not just basic package sets.

Great review and insightful Pete, with the price and the small improvements I’d say it’s worth most people getting down to there local golf suppliers and seeing what deals they have on, I visited American golf at the weekend and was very surprised to see the rogue st at 239 the stealth at 239 the ping g425 at 229 and the cobra ltd x at 190, all were demo clubs but all were in exceptional condition. Can’t wait to see the reviews of other manufacturers
Congratulations ๐

Iโm excited about this driver coming out, but for a different reason. I can hopefully now buy a rogue driver at a cheaper price ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐๐ป

Absolutely great review on these. You hit all the important points and I love that you’re comparing to last year’s model using the same shafts. The price of this club is stupid though and I think we’ve hit a point where golfers just won’t pay it. It happened back in 2004-2005 and then the prices came down, I think it will be the same thing here.
Congratulations ๐

Interesting that yours and Rickโs reviews are so different on draw bias and level of difference between models for example. Guess it goes to show itโs important to try lots and work out whatโs best for you!
I would definitely be interested in upgrading my callaway driver to a newer callaway driver but dont think i would pay 599 for one club (a lottery win would change my mind lol) great review pete keep up the amazing work and content on your channel ๐โณ
The Pat Reid helicopter swing was a thing of beauty! Great review, I reckon the discounted Rogue ST could be the play for a lot of golfers upgrading this year – 599 is just silly.
Based on looks alone, I’d throw it in the bag in a heartbeat. Best looking driver I’ve seen personally. I adore the green/gunmetal combination. No idea if I’ll ever spend that much on a driver, but we’ll see. If it outperforms my Speedzone by enough, then I may just have to splurge!
Always love and look forward to Peteโs reviews! No marketing fluff or BS. When others provide their reviews it feels like they are reading straight from the manufacturers spec sheet. First class review as always, Mr. Finch. You remain the best in the business in 2023! ๐๐ช๐๐ฏโ
