  1. I just love the look of Minzunos, I’m not really a fan of big lettering or huge logos etc. Clean lines and tasteful design will always be a winner for me. But like everything else it’s down to taste and I do think lots of people will like the PXGs and I don’t think they are too bad either, just not my cup of tea.

  2. I still think the Mizunos and Titleist are my favorite visually, but I do like the looks of the PXG and think they are different and that’s part of what I like with that big weight in the back.

  3. Mizuno 225 are the best looking irons ever. They are also excellent performance. Best of both worlds. 😊

  4. Great video, Peter & Co! Having never been a huge fan of PXG (solely based off looks), I think those irons look incredible! Unfortunately, I don’t have the money for a set of irons that are so expensive. Could you please do a video on what you think the best direct to consumer or affordable irons are? I would love someone’s opinion that has earned my trust in the matter, and it would mean so much!

    1. @jeff yeah Really? I work 60+ hours a week most of the time. It’s called having a family and putting them above my wants in life. Thanks for your unwarranted opinion, though.

  5. Takomo 301 mb/cb are some great looking irons. Also love the simplistic design of the 620mb’s from titleist.

  6. I think the best looking hollow irons are the cobra forge tec. Would like to see you compare them with the pxgs.

  7. Never tried PXG irons but have booked in for a total bag overhaul in Feb with Club Champions (Brisbane Australia) I am looking forward to testing them

  8. Best looking irons to me are the Callaway Apex TCB’s, or even the Callaway MB line with the middle screw of last year. Not a huge fan of the black plastic piece they have in the 2023 pro, CB, and MB models though tbh.

  9. I’ve always been a fan of how PXG bucks the trend with design on the irons. I don’t know if I’d ever actually buy a set, but it’s refreshing to see them come out with great irons that have an edgey look to them.

  10. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but in the bag a full set of these would look like a bucket of nuts and bolts. This is just a personal opinion but pretty hard to go past Mizunos and TaylorMades for me. 👍🏻🇦🇺

  11. I got fitted for them the week they came out. They look great and feel better. I can control the spin on the greens as well. But Peter, you are spot on with the little dings on the sole from bumping in the bag. I noticed some after round 2 and I’m very careful with them. Still great clubs though!

  12. I finally switched away from PXG for Titleist T150s (100 GW, 200 5i) and have been loving the new clubs. Supreme confidence and finally love the look of my irons.

  13. That’s pretty cool, Pete. I’ve been playing the gen 4 PXG’s four years, and I really like them. I’m going to go to the PXG store within the next couple of weeks and get fit for the gen 6 all black irons, I really like the look.

  14. I think they are one of the coolest looking irons in the industry from day one. And BP has been a stellar ambassador for the game of golf. That being said I’ve had a fitting a couple of times with Gen 4 to Gen 6 models and I just can’t hit ‘em 😢. I’m a 11 handicap and they just don’t beat my Pings. My playing partner bags the Gen 5’s and loves ‘em. But overall you have to admit it’s a great company.

  15. Got to say…. Been to a couple PXG fits and honestly the stuff is amazing. The irons feel incredible and look so different. They’re still on the expensive side for me tho. But if the price was better I’d definitely have arguably a full bag of PXG

  16. I love love love mizuno blades. Have absolutely no business with them in my bag, but they absolutely smash it every single year with their bladed model, have done since the MP4

  17. I use PXG hybrids a 4 and 5, with a set of mizuno 225’5 , I went with the mizunos due to your review last year and I LOVE them. My big issue with PXG is the faces of the clubs scratch up really bad compared to other brands. I was told I need to clean my club every time I hit practice balls , I try to hit in the dirt practice hardly ever mats, . The choice of shafts, fitting, and grips give PXG a foot in the door….. I love the performance of my PXG clubs more than the durability of the previous years

  18. Great review Pete! I’ve been wanting to upgrade for some time now but don’t know if it’s time or if I’m good enough yet for a players iron like these. I absolutely love the look of these. And want to get away from the super game improvement irons. I’m a 13 handicap playing PXG 0311XP GEN3’s. Really considering getting a fitting now!

  19. Great content Pete, thanks for the deep dive into PXG irons. Great to hear that PXG are making a players set with incredible feel. Even being in the same conversation with Mizuno on feel is pretty impressive.
    Cheers!
