I watched LIV last night and it was great tbh. A far stronger field than the John Deer especially to the casual viewer who will look for names. 10 Major champions and then you have guys like Ancer, Ortiz who are inform!
It’s way too soon to know the long term impact LIV will have on the PGA. Give this situation 3-5 years to play out, THEN it will be much clearer which league will survive & prosper.
Biographers usually spend a lot of time with their subject or person to be familiar with them in casual situations. Phil did not seem to mind.

There should be no rivalry. The PGA should take this opportunity to follow through with what their plans are to better their platform. The PGA is not just about the money but it does need to be addressed but it is more the prestige of the PGA. Those who go to the LIV should be free to do so, yet the PGA tour should reserve the right to ban them from their platform for life. This isn’t Dexter. . LIV is simply buying souls and we are simply seeing who is willing to sell theirs. The excuse that the Saudi’s are allies of the United States is irrelevant because that is politics and is simply Keeping your enemies closer. The excuse that the extra money can be used for good does not put Khashoggis head back on his shoulders among fix a mountain of injustices. Golf is a sport that can be rarely compared to others. It should hold its platform with integrity and fairness to all. With a moral standing that should use its platform to speak out against tyranny not cater to those Who turned a blind eye just to make more money than they will ever need in this lifetime. Phil Mickelson said it best when he called out the Saudi government unfortunately just did not have the manhood to stand by it. More players like McAvoy should speak their voice and help the PGA become the best it can be with the best players with the best morals. And I hope all those professional golfers who went to play for LIV Enjoy having their nuts in a vice while they’re there

I’d far rather watch LIV than the drawn-out PGA dribble we are served up week over week. It’s been a breath of fresh air.
