The PGA trip heads to the renowned Arena Course at TPC Sawgrass for the 2022 edition of THE PLAYERS Champion. The leading 30 golfers in the FedExCup standings, including 2017 FedExCup winner and protecting champion Justin Thomas, will tee it up this week. World No. 1 Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland and Collin Morikawa are just some of the most significant names in golf fighting it out for the $3.6 million winner's share. Hovland remains one of the most popular gamers in the game, leading at the halfway point of the Arnold Palmer Invitational provided by Mastercard. Hideki Matsuyama is also in impressive kind after winning the Sony Open this year. In 2020, Matsuyama connected the TPC Sawgrass scoring record (a 9-under 63) in the opening round and following the cancellation of that competition, he'll be intending to go all the way for the very first time this year. The ruling FedExCup Champion, Patrick Cantlay, is seeking to continue his outstanding start to the season – he's completed outside the top 10 in just one of his 5 starts so far.

That last round was great! Instant classic!
Who else wants a Cam Smith chipping masterclass? His short game is pristine!
Schit Yeah.
Im in…
He’s dialed in this year. Watch for him to be the FedEx Cup champion this season. Move over Cantlay & Rahm.
So composed coming down the stretch.Going to have a big year
He’s going to win the masters this year
That’s a bold statement sir. Nice
What a fabulous short game Cam has, can see him being around the world top ten for many years
Unbelievable wedge player
Also such a clutch putter from inside 10 feet
This guy is a chipping and putting maniac! For everyone out there that doesn’t hit the ball real far, and I don’t know how far he hits it, the short game is the key. Without all of those wonderful shots that he made he would have lost. He needed all of those to go in. Think about it it was all the short game.
Absolutely brilliant!
I feel for Lahiri, played a great last round, Cam was just on another level on the greens.
I remember when he finished tied for 3rd at the 2015 US Open at Chambers Bay. That was the 1st time I had heard of him. It’s amazing how far he’s come since then. Clearly the best International player at the moment
It was 4th but point still stands
Uuhhh… John Rahm? Isn’t he a better international player rn?
@Awesomeness5 I think he meant in terms of the Internationals team in the pres cup.
still my fave ever US open.
He’s been playing great golf. Doesn’t surprise me. Great player.
Cam smith is on fire, he is very confident and had great range of shots, he can definatly putt so hopefully Cameron will hava great chance for the masters in 3 weeks time. Good luck mate.
That wedge on the 18th is one of the most clutch shots I’ve ever seen in golf. Absolute nerves of steel.
👍
The baller line on 16 not bad either 😮
Smith was a cold stone champion in this tournament – wow.
His wedge game is off the charts. That and his putting won him The Players. Pure talent.
His shots saved around the green has to be insane. The amount of chips that keep him close enough for those confident single putts is beyond impressive, even at their level
The pitch on 12 from the deep stuff is one of the best shots I’ve seen in recent times
What a shot on 17th, nerves of steel, very well deserved win, congrats 👏
